I am so excited to announce that Ventre’s Adventures will be returning to South Africa with students for our Ventre’s Adventures flagship study abroad program! South Africa is one of my favorite countries that I have traveled to, and it is also one of the best destinations for student travel.
Join the Ventre’s Adventures flagship Venture South Africa study abroad program. Students will experience the very best South Africa has to offer from its rich history to its diverse geography and wildlife.
This study abroad program was carefully constructed for high school students with a curricular emphasis on history and biology. Not only will students learn from sociologists, marine biologists, and conservationists, but also students will be able to participate in once in a life time “bucket-list” opportunities designed just for them! We wanted to create a study abroad opportunity for the adventurous student: one who dreams of colorful destinations far from his or her comfort zone.
A team of local professionals will be guiding students through South African highlights, while also teaching the importance of biological conservation, eco friendly tourism, and historical South African relevancies.

Nominated as one of Atlanta’s “Most Inspiring,” Kristy has ventured to 30 countries across 6 continents. The more she kept traveling, the more she realized that her students could actually benefit from traveling as well. For six years, she briefly worked with a big business travel company, and took her students abroad during the summer. Her students had good experiences, but she felt like she could take their experiences one step further. Through all of her travels, Kristy has made connections with people and places all over the world. These connections, married with student interest, enabled her to launch her own business, and Ventre’s Adventures was born!

Gansbaai is definitely the place to switch off your cell phone and relax. Located 2 hours from Cape Town, Gansbaai is one of the shark capitals of the world. Ventre’s Adventures Venture South Africa once in a lifetime activities include:
